Large Übelacker Keramik Vase 1451/30 – West Germany – 1970s – Glazed ceramic

Its slender silhouette combines a slightly flared belly, a pronounced shoulder, and a narrow neck opening onto a wide lip. The decoration features broad horizontal bands in deep shades of green, ochre, and brown, with irregular transitions characteristic of glazes from this period. The interior is covered with a very dark, almost black glaze.

The underside bears the incised number “1451/30”, corresponding to a Übelacker form reference, with the suffix “/30” likely indicating the model's height, here approximately 30 cm.

This piece fully embodies the West German Pottery aesthetic of the 1960s-1970s, with an architectural form and particularly decorative glaze treatment.
