Scheurich 401-28 Handle Vase – Fat Lava – 28 cm

Scheurich glazed ceramic vase with handle, characteristic of West German decorative productions from the 1970s.

Its tall, cylindrical silhouette is enlivened by a large ring handle and a particularly expressive decor. A bright red band, traversed by black raised patterns, contrasts with the olive green drips and speckled grey-brown areas. The variations in thickness and material effects give the enamel all the presence sought after in Fat Lava ceramics.

The original Scheurich label is still present. The underside bears the embossed inscriptions "401-28" and "W. GERMANY". An old label from Galerie Coquereau in Tournai is also preserved on the other side.
