Carstens Tönnieshof glazed ceramic vase – 30 cm

Decorative Carstens Tönnieshof vase in glazed ceramic, characteristic of West German production from the 1960s-1970s.

Its baluster silhouette combines a generous body with a long, constricted neck ending in a flared opening. The dark brown glaze mixes with large cream drizzles punctuated by speckled effects and black craters. A frieze of relief scrolls highlights the shoulder, while a scalloped motif animates the lower part.

The underside bears the Carstens Tönnieshof two-house logo, the reference 7222/30, and the mention "W Germany." This contrasting composition is part of the modernist aesthetic of so-called Fat Lava ceramics.

Good overall vintage condition, no cracks or breaks. Small superficial losses of enamel are visible on the top edge, accompanied by slight traces of use.
