A magnificent antique work by Louis Rousselet titled "Le Serviteur du Lion de la Mer," published in Paris by Hachette in 1906.

A beautiful illustrated edition with 77 engravings based on drawings by JOB, a famous French illustrator of the Belle Époque, known for his historical and adventure scenes with an extremely lively and detailed style.

The work is presented in a superb red and gold publisher's binding typical of Hachette's major productions from the early 20th century, with rich Art Nouveau / neoclassical gilt decoration on the front cover and spine.

A very beautiful collector's item, both for the quality of its decorative binding and for its literary and iconographic interest.
