Magnificent red publisher's binding richly decorated with gilded and black motifs on the front cover and spine, typical of the beautiful illustrated bindings of the Belle Époque. The book is abundantly illustrated with in-text and full-page engravings.
A very beautiful library object, as decorative as it is interesting for lovers of old literature, decorative bindings, and 19th-century bibliophilia.
