The book features a superb cover adorned with gilt and black motifs and a central figurative medallion depicting Robinson Crusoe. The spine is also decorated, featuring the title of the work in a composition very characteristic of popular illustrated bindings from this period.

This edition was published in Paris by Librairie de Théodore Lefèvre & Cie / Émile Guérin, publisher, rue des Poitevins.
