Elegant mantel clock signed Junghans, a famous German manufacturer renowned for the quality of its clock movements.

This model features a beautiful curved line typical of the Art Deco period, with a circular dial with stylized Arabic numerals and gilded hands. The casing is made of veneered wood, probably walnut, with attractive graining on the front.

The original mechanical movement is present, with pendulum and chiming system. Junghans marking visible inside, reference W278, corresponding to a manufacture around the 1940s (The numbers "47 12" most likely indicate manufacturing in December 1947. It is a post-war piece).

The clock is a beautiful decorative piece, ideal for a fireplace, a sideboard, or a classic or vintage interior.

Please note: the pendulum shows visible cracks and will require restoration or replacement for optimal operation. However, it has been tested and works, striking the hours and once on the half-hours. The clock is therefore offered as is, for a watch enthusiast or for decorative use.

The glass is new; it has just been replaced.
