Art Deco vase in flamed black-brown enameled stoneware – openwork handles – French work – 1930s – 28 cm

Superb Art Deco vase in enameled stoneware, dating from the 1920s–30s.

This model stands out for its elegant and architectural silhouette, as well as its openwork handles integrated into the form, characteristic of French productions from the interwar period.

The enamel features a deep gradient ranging from caramel brown to violet and black, with drips and nuanced effects typical of flamed stoneware from this period.

The underside bears a partially legible marking revealing what appears to be the letter "D". The rest of the inscription is now erased in the material. This marking, as well as the style of the piece, evoke the productions of the Vierzon school, notably Denbac, without formal attribution being guaranteed.

The interior is also fully enameled and the base partially vitrified, confirming stoneware work.

A strong decorative piece, ideal for an Art Deco, contemporary or minimalist interior.
